INTRODUCING UNICUS360°. A NEW NAME FOR EVERYTHING WE'VE BECOME.
After more than three decades of building brands, producing award-winning creative work, developing marketing programs, and helping businesses confront challenges far beyond traditional advertising, Unicus Marketing is officially becoming Unicus360°.
This isn't a company reinventing itself overnight. It isn't a new ownership group, a merger, or an attempt to follow the latest industry trend.
It's something much more meaningful.
It's the recognition that the company we are today has grown far beyond the description we've carried for the past 25 years.
Since 1993, Unicus has evolved through three distinct identities, each reflecting a broader level of responsibility, a deeper relationship with our clients, and an expanding ability to turn ambitious ideas into tangible business results.
Today, those capabilities extend across creative production, brand development, marketing, business strategy, sales, technology, artificial intelligence, digital platforms, and business growth.
Our name has finally caught up with our capabilities.
"We've never been particularly interested in fitting into a category. We've been interested in figuring out what our clients need, determining whether we can help, and then finding the smartest, most creative way to make it happen."
— Conrad Eskelinen, Founder, Unicus360°
1993. WHEN CREATIVE PRODUCTION WAS AN INDUSTRY BUILT ON CRAFT.
The story begins in 1993 with the founding of Unicus Productions.
At the time, professional creative production was a very different business. Television commercials were shot on film or professional video equipment. Editing required specialized facilities. Animation, visual effects, sound design, and graphic production demanded expensive technology, technical expertise, and teams of highly skilled professionals.
Unicus was built to compete in that environment.
With professional soundstage facilities, mobile production crews, editing suites, and extensive creative resources, Unicus Productions developed into a full-service production company serving businesses and advertising agencies.
Its work eventually encompassed more than 6,000 television commercials, hundreds of infomercials, documentaries, corporate productions, animations, and an enormous range of visual communications.
But volume was never the defining characteristic of the company.
It was the belief that exceptional creative work required more than equipment, software, or technical competence. It required imagination, judgment, craftsmanship, and people who cared deeply about the finished product.
For founder Conrad Eskelinen, whose professional journey includes cinematography and Emmy-recognized television work, that belief became part of the company's DNA.
Every production presented a different challenge. Every client brought a different objective. Every project demanded a combination of creative thinking, technical knowledge, and disciplined execution.
Those early years established something that would become more valuable than any individual production capability: the confidence to take an unfamiliar challenge, understand what mattered, and assemble the talent and resources necessary to solve it.
"The equipment has changed. The technology has changed. The entire industry has changed. But the difference between simply producing something and creating something exceptional still comes down to the people, their imagination, and the pride they take in their work."
— Conrad Eskelinen
2001. THE FIRST EVOLUTION: FROM PRODUCING THE MESSAGE TO HELPING DRIVE THE BUSINESS.
By the turn of the century, Unicus was experiencing an important shift.
Clients who initially hired the company to produce television commercials, videos, animation, or marketing materials began asking a much bigger question:
Could Unicus help develop and manage the campaigns behind those creative assets?
The answer was increasingly yes.
Instead of simply receiving an approved script or concept, Unicus became involved earlier in the process—helping define the message, understand the audience, develop the strategy, select the right channels, and coordinate execution.
The company expanded into advertising, brand development, website design, digital marketing, campaign management, and other disciplines that connected creative production directly to business objectives.
By 2001, Unicus Marketing had become a more accurate name for the company.
It was the first major evolution of an organization whose capabilities were being shaped as much by client trust as by deliberate expansion.
The creative foundation remained intact, but the business was no longer defined solely by the assets it produced.
It was increasingly defined by the outcomes those assets were intended to accomplish.
Over the following years, Unicus worked with businesses of different sizes and across numerous industries, sometimes supporting established internal marketing departments and major advertising agencies, and sometimes taking responsibility for a complete initiative.
One assignment might require a national advertising campaign. Another might involve a new corporate identity, a complex website, a digital customer experience, or the launch of an entirely new product or service.
The common denominator was never the type of deliverable.
It was the ability to connect creative ideas with practical execution.
THE QUIET TRANSFORMATION THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING.
While the name Unicus Marketing remained in place, another transformation was taking shape behind the scenes.
The way creative and technical work could be produced, managed, and delivered was changing dramatically.
High-performance computers replaced entire rooms of specialized equipment. Digital production tools made increasingly sophisticated work possible without enormous physical facilities. High-speed connectivity opened the door to global collaboration. Software development, data systems, automation, and digital communications became inseparable from modern business operations.
Unicus began adapting to this new reality early.
Rather than continuing to define its capabilities by the size of its physical infrastructure, the company moved toward a more flexible, specialized operating model.
The shift wasn't about doing less.
It was about removing limitations.
Unicus could collaborate with experienced specialists, assemble the appropriate resources for different assignments, and apply sophisticated technology without requiring clients to support the overhead of a traditional large agency.
As the tools became more powerful, the range of work the company could undertake became broader.
And as that range expanded, clients began bringing Unicus challenges that had little to do with advertising.
They needed help developing business programs. Improving sales processes. Connecting disconnected systems. Building digital platforms. Launching new business initiatives. Solving operational problems. Finding better ways to turn opportunities into revenue.
Increasingly, the first question wasn't, "Can you create this marketing campaign?"
It was, "Can you help us figure this out?"
That distinction would ultimately define the next chapter.
"Some of the most rewarding projects we've ever undertaken didn't begin with someone asking for a commercial, a website, or a marketing campaign. They began with a business owner explaining a problem and asking whether we could find a better way."
— Conrad Eskelinen
2026. INTRODUCING UNICUS360°.
The evolution to Unicus360° represents the culmination of that progression.
Today, Unicus operates at the intersection of creative thinking, marketing, business development, technology, and execution.
A client may engage the company for a single, highly specialized creative project. Another may need an integrated marketing program. A third may require a more comprehensive initiative involving business strategy, sales processes, custom technology, automation, and ongoing execution.
Unicus360° is designed to see the relationships between those needs rather than treating them as disconnected assignments.
A website is not simply a website when it must support sales, capture data, integrate with business systems, and create opportunities.
A marketing campaign is not simply advertising when its success depends on the quality of the offer, the sales process, the customer experience, and the systems behind it.
A business problem is not necessarily a marketing problem, even when marketing is where the symptoms appear.
And the most effective solution is not always the one a client initially expects.
This is what the 360° represents: the ability to look beyond the immediate assignment, understand the broader business, and connect the disciplines that contribute to growth.
It does not mean every client needs every service.
It means every engagement benefits from a wider perspective.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE. ANOTHER MAJOR SHIFT. THE SAME OPERATING PHILOSOPHY.
Throughout its history, Unicus has embraced technologies that expand what creative and technically capable people can accomplish.
Artificial intelligence is the latest—and potentially one of the most consequential—developments in that progression.
For Unicus360°, AI is not simply another marketing service or a fashionable label to attach to existing offerings.
It is becoming part of how the company researches, develops, creates, analyzes, manages, and executes work.
The company is developing an interconnected set of proprietary internal capabilities under its UQI initiative, applying AI and automation to areas such as business research, marketing intelligence, content development, digital systems, and operational workflows.
These systems are being built to strengthen the work Unicus360° delivers for clients—not as a collection of standalone software products.
AI can accelerate research, reduce repetitive work, uncover relationships across information, and expand the capacity of an experienced team.
But it does not replace the responsibility to think critically, exercise judgment, understand a client's business, or deliver work worth putting the Unicus name on.
The technology is powerful.
The thinking behind it remains essential.
"I've spent my entire career watching new technology change what's possible. The real opportunity has never been simply owning the newest tools. It's understanding what those tools allow you to accomplish that you couldn't accomplish before."
— Conrad Eskelinen
BOUTIQUE BY DESIGN. ENTERPRISE BY CAPABILITY.
One of the most distinctive aspects of the modern Unicus is that its breadth of capability has grown while its operating structure has become more focused.
That is intentional.
Unicus360° is not attempting to recreate the traditional agency model with layers of departments, large facilities, and unnecessary overhead.
Its operating philosophy is built around experienced leadership, carefully selected talent, modern technology, and direct accountability.
The company can bring together creative, strategic, marketing, technical, and operational disciplines around an assignment without forcing every client into the same engagement structure.
That flexibility allows Unicus360° to serve different needs while preserving the personal attention and craftsmanship that shaped its earliest work.
The business is not measured by how many people occupy an office or how many services appear in a presentation.
It is measured by the quality of its thinking, the strength of its execution, and the value it creates for clients.
Boutique by Design. Enterprise by Capability.
It is more than positioning.
It is the operating philosophy behind the company Unicus has become.
THE CREATIVE FORCE BEHIND BUSINESS GROWTH AND MARKETING.
The new name also brings a clearer expression of what has always distinguished Unicus.
Creativity is not confined to design, film, advertising, or visual communication.
Some of the most consequential creative work happens when someone discovers a better way to build a business, solve a difficult operational problem, reach a market, develop a system, or connect ideas that others have treated separately.
A compelling brand identity requires creativity.
So does a more effective sales process.
A sophisticated digital platform requires technical expertise.
But designing one around a real business opportunity also requires imagination.
A marketing strategy requires research and commercial discipline.
But finding a position that competitors have overlooked requires creative thinking.
Unicus360° brings that creative perspective into the broader challenges of business development and growth.
The Creative Force Behind Business Growth and Marketing.
That statement does not diminish the company's creative production heritage.
It recognizes that the same thinking that once transformed a concept into a television commercial can also transform a business challenge into a practical solution.
THREE IDENTITIES. ONE UNBROKEN COMMITMENT.
Looking back over 33 years, the progression is clear.
1993 — Unicus Productions. A company founded on exceptional creative production, technical craftsmanship, and the ability to bring ambitious ideas to life.
2001 — Unicus Marketing. An expanded company connecting creative capabilities with brand strategy, advertising, digital marketing, and integrated execution.
2026 — Unicus360°. A broader business partner connecting creativity, marketing, technology, AI, sales, and business development to help clients pursue meaningful growth.
Each name emerged because the work had already evolved.
Each transition reflected a broader relationship with the businesses that trusted Unicus to deliver.
And throughout all three chapters, the defining philosophy remained remarkably consistent.
Think creatively. Understand the objective. Take ownership of the work. Build it properly. Deliver something that matters.
THE NEXT CHAPTER IS ALREADY UNDERWAY.
The launch of Unicus360° is not the finish line of a 33-year journey.
It is a more accurate identity for the work already underway—and a foundation for what comes next.
The company's creative heritage remains central to its future. Film, animation, visual storytelling, design, and brand development will continue to be important parts of what Unicus does.
So will marketing, technology, business systems, AI, and the increasingly interconnected disciplines that businesses need to compete and grow.
But the greatest opportunity lies in how those capabilities work together.
Businesses rarely experience their challenges in neat departmental categories. Their problems cross boundaries. Their opportunities involve multiple disciplines. Their growth depends on connecting decisions and execution across the organization.
Unicus360° has evolved to work within that reality.
For longstanding clients, the new identity represents a continuation of the relationship and capabilities they already know.
For new clients, it provides a more complete understanding of the company they are engaging.
And for the people who have contributed to the Unicus story over more than three decades, it represents another chapter built upon the same foundation of creativity, craftsmanship, adaptability, and commitment.
"Thirty-three years ago, I started a company built around the belief that great ideas, talented people, and a commitment to exceptional work could accomplish extraordinary things. I still believe that today. The difference is that we now have capabilities I could barely have imagined in 1993. And we're still finding new ways to put them to work."
— Conrad Eskelinen, Founder, Unicus360°
